The PAKA.archi team

The PAKA.archi team is made up of architects who design multi-family residential buildings for developers.

At PAKA.archi, the same team stays with each project from the site capacity analysis to the occupancy permit, and 8 of its members have been with the firm for more than 5 years. PAKA.archi works with the same 6 engineering consultancies on its projects.

  1. Kacper Matysiak

    Co-founder, architect

What I enjoy most about my work

I like the fact that my work is where architecture meets business. One day I'm designing, the next I'm on site, and the day after that I'm talking to a developer about how the design will affect the return on their development. The most rewarding part is a relationship with an investor that starts with one project and carries on through the ones that follow, along with thinking about the direction PAKA.archi could grow in.

  2. Paweł Balcerzak

    Co-founder, architect

What I enjoy most about my work

What draws me in most is the carefree concept stage, when anything is still possible. Once the carefree part is over, what I value most are the people I work through the problems with. And at the end, I like standing in front of a building we designed together.

  3. Marlena Matysiak

    Management Board member, HR Director

What I enjoy most about my work

I'm fascinated by the fact that we create spaces where beauty meets engineering. Every project is different at every stage, so I find even the desk-bound part of the work rewarding.

  4. Łukasz Pietraszko

    Partner, senior architect

What I enjoy most about my work

For me, the most interesting part is bringing many disciplines together in one project. A building is more than walls, floor slabs and a roof. It's a set of solutions, building services and ideas that together have to serve the people who will use it well. Experience gives me a foundation, and every new project gives me a chance to learn something new.

  5. Maciej Zaforymski

    Partner, senior architect

What I enjoy most about my work

This is the moment I wait for on every project: after a long design process, settling the details with the investor and the hard but necessary coordination with every engineering discipline, I walk onto the site and watch it all go up.

  1. Volodymyr Kolomiiets

    BIM architect

What I enjoy most about my work

What absorbs me most is modelling: refining the massing step by step, from the first idea to the finished form. I also appreciate the calmer, more routine work on the drawings. I like that this profession has room for both.

    Experience
    13 years' experience
    Education
Chernivtsi National University (Ukraine), Architecture, MSc Eng
  2. Liudmila Rudz

    BIM architect

What I enjoy most about my work

I'm drawn to what I haven't tried yet: tasks with no ready-made answer, where you have to connect the threads and sometimes change direction. I'm interested in parametric design, prefabrication and new technology, but also in making work more efficient, because I'd rather work out a smarter way to do something once than repeat the same steps over and over. I value people I can joke with and get into a discussion that shifts my thinking, because we don't have to think alike to think well together.

    10 years' experience
    Education
Brest State Technical University (Belarus), Architecture, Bachelor's degree; Warsaw University of Technology, Architecture for Society of Knowledge, Master's degree in progress
  3. Kateryna Pushkarova

    BIM architect

What I enjoy most about my work

The moment I enjoy most is when an idea starts to take real shape. I look for solutions that bring aesthetics and function together, and I organise and simplify until the design just works.

    Experience
    9 years' experience
    Education
University of Ecology and Management in Warsaw, Architecture
  4. Monika Szewczyk-Rokicka

    Architect, interior designer

What I enjoy most about my work

I love the start of a project: the first idea, the mood boards and choosing materials. I began in interior design, then designed railway stations and supervised their construction, and today I work on multi-family residential buildings, their communal areas, visual identity and fit-outs. I get satisfaction from exchanging ideas with investors and from seeing the design take shape on design supervision visits.

  5. Julia Frysiak-Grzymała

    BIM architect

What I enjoy most about my work

What I value in architecture is that it combines creativity with technical, construction-minded thinking. The best moment for me is when an idea has to be turned into a specific construction method so that it can actually be built.

  6. Karolina Grącka

    Architect

What I enjoy most about my work

I like things that are simple but have character. I pay attention to proportion, light, materials and the small decisions that make a big difference. Not everything needs a practical justification, and sometimes it's enough for something to be beautiful or to move you, but it's best when there's a well-thought-out function behind the form, whether it's a building, a chair or a well-planned kitchen.

  7. Adrian Filipik

    BIM architect

What I enjoy most about my work

This job lets me keep developing, both as a designer and technically, and every task is a little different. What interests me most is BIM, from building the model to standardising projects and making the work more efficient.

    Experience
    1 year's experience
    Education
Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Architecture and Urban Planning (BEng and MSc) and Managerial Behaviour and Decision-Making (MSc)
  8. Natalia Pietrzyk

    Architectural assistant, intern

What I enjoy most about my work

I enjoy the whole creative process, from the first idea through looking for solutions to a finished design. I like watching a sketch gradually take shape. I'm about to defend my undergraduate thesis, and my internship at PAKA.archi is a chance to see what an architect's day-to-day work looks like on real projects.
